Daily Life im Kakuma Refugee Camp in der Turkana Wüste Kenya

Located in the very north of Kenya´s Turkana Desert, Kakuma Refugee Camp is home to 185.000 refugees mainly from southern Sudan but also from Somalia, Ethiopia and the great lakes region. Kakuma is divided into 4 units, while Unit 1 is almost 30 years old, but relocated 22 years ago because of ongoing south sudanese rebellion attacks, unit 4 is around 2 years old, erected during the actual conflict.
